Italy 7-Day Itinerary
Italy gave us everything we could have hoped for — iconic cities, rolling hills, stunning coastlines, and enough pasta and wine to last a lifetime. This trip took us through some of Italy’s most beloved destinations, and every stop had its own magic.
Day 1–2: Rome – Ancient History & Timeless Beauty
We started our adventure in Rome, the eternal city. Wandering through Rome feels like walking through a living museum. Every corner held a ruin, a church, or a piazza straight out of a postcard.
We visited classic sights like the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, and of course, the Trevi Fountain (yes, we made a wish!). In between sightseeing, we found time to slow down — sipping cappuccinos in hidden piazzas and wandering through charming streets with no real plan. Rome was the perfect mix of chaos and beauty.
Day 3–4: Florence – Art, Architecture & Aperitivo
From Rome, we took the train to Florence, a city that feels like stepping into a Renaissance painting. Florence was full of warm terracotta rooftops, stunning cathedrals, and endless opportunities to enjoy wine and gelato.
We explored the Duomo, admired Michelangelo's David, and wandered through the Uffizi Gallery. The evenings were our favorite — sitting along the Arno River during golden hour, aperol spritz in hand, watching the city light up as the sun set.
Day 4: Tuscany – A Day in Wine Country
While based in Florence, we took a day trip to Tuscany for a classic Italian wine tour. The rolling hills, cypress trees, and rustic farmhouses looked exactly like every Tuscan photo you’ve ever seen.
We spent the day visiting vineyards, learning about the region’s wines, and sipping Chianti under the Tuscan sun. It was easily one of the most peaceful and memorable parts of the trip.
Day 5: Cinque Terre – Colorful Coastline Escape
We couldn't resist making time for a day trip to Cinque Terre, and it did not disappoint. The colorful cliffside villages, winding coastal trails, and sparkling sea made for the perfect change of scenery.
We wandered through the charming streets, stopped for focaccia and seafood, and spent the day simply enjoying the laid-back coastal vibe. Even with just one day, Cinque Terre left a lasting impression.
Day 6: Lake Como – Italian Lakeside Bliss
After the city energy, Lake Como felt like a breath of fresh air. Surrounded by mountains and dotted with pastel-colored villas, the lake has an effortless elegance.
We strolled through the towns along the shore, took a boat ride, and soaked up the peaceful atmosphere. Lake Como was the perfect spot to slow down and just be — lingering over meals, taking in the views, and watching life unfold at a slower pace.
Day 7: Milan – A Stylish Send-Off
We finished our trip in Milan, where old-world charm meets modern fashion and design. We explored the impressive Duomo di Milano, shopped around the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, and enjoyed one last Italian dinner before heading home.
Milan was the perfect mix of cosmopolitan energy and classic Italian beauty — the ideal way to wrap up the trip.
